hydrangea dahlia purple grey bouquet

It’s fabulous to work with a friend on their wedding flowers, it’s even better when that friend is another wedding pro!  Welcome to Eva and Aaaron’s wedding day!

Eva is the amazing lady behind Eva Derrick Photography.  We have worked on weddings together in the past and I simply adore this girl.  Everything about Eva’s personality is calm cool and collected.  It was such a joy to work with her because she gave me a purple and pewter colour scheme and just let me go.  Being a photographer herself, Eva of course had a fabulous photographer: Tyler James Photographywho captured the fun and carefree spirit of this couple.  Legends on the Niagara Golf Course was the venue for both the ceremony and reception.

For Eva we created a bouquet jam packed full of texture.  Large Echiveria, brunnia berries and dusty miller foliage provided the grey element while dahlia, hydrangea, carnations, heuchera foliage and agonis foliage popped in purple.

The bridesmaids carried a smaller version of the bridal bouquet

We just loved these boutonniere’s in the studio.  Move aside roses, these bold choices of dahlia and echiveria stole the show

Eva’s centerpieces were so much fun!  We used apple juice cans wrapped in silver card stock and accented with yarn.  The purple hydrangea and stock were alternated at each round table.

Eva created even more interest in the room by adding 2 harvest style tables for the family.  These tables were approached as more of a tablescape with manzanita branches, different sized purple arrangements as well as floating candles.

Yes those are carnations!  They aren’t your grandma’s flowers anymore!

Eva’s head table was a larger and more layered version of her harvest tables.

Again a special thanks to Tyler James Photography (now known as Beth + Ty in Love) for allowing me to showcase his pictures.

A big thanks as well to Eva and Aaaron for allowing us to be a part of your wonderful wedding day.
