This time last year we had just wrapped up this gorgeous spring wedding. The fruit tree’s were blooming (not so much for 2018) and leaves were emerging (again not so much). Aurora had a very clean and modern theme with foliage touches for her wedding day. My favorite part of Auroras wedding was creating her ceremony arbor. We used our copper arbor and covered it in an asymmetrical design loaded with white blooms and cascading foliage. We then added foliage gathers to… Read more »
I would have to say hands down this was my favorite wedding of 2016. Why do I love it so? I think it was most importantly the easy going nature of this couple. They gave me a feeling and a vibe that they wanted to create and let me run with it. Mixed metallics (love), vintage flower vessels (love), barely there lavender and caramel with cream colour scheme (sigh…love)! No table was exactly alike as was no centerpiece. I loved… Read more »
I have to say that when Karen contacted me for her Grand Victorian Wedding I was pretty excited. I had always wanted to do a real wedding at this venue. She had such a lovely colour scheme and romantic aesthetic for her wedding. Peach, cream and blush with natural foliage accents were infused into the florals. An intimate ceremony took place under a large beech tree on the property which we accented with unstructured ceremony blooms. Long harvest tables were… Read more »
Sandra and David had a quaint and intimate wedding in the Cellar of Ravine Winery. It is the perfect place to host a small affair and is just dripping with a unique and cozy vibe. If you are considering a Niagara wedding especially in off season this is a wonderful venue that still gives the vineyard feel (even in December). My friend Samantha from Darling Mine captured the simple yet elegant flowers we created. Enjoy!
An outdoor tented wedding in Niagara can be perfect even at the end of October. It may have had something to do with a wedding in wine country and the perfect setting of Ravine Vineyards…..and heaters. Amanda dreamt of long harvest tables covered in groupings of bud vases and jelup cups for her winery wedding. We combined soft tones of blush and white in all wedding flowers (as far as I am concerned there are no rules for colours and… Read more »
Lately I have been feeling the need to flex my creativity muscle, do something a little different than the average wedding. I am a lover of anything natural, textural and wild but I don’t always get to pull that into weddings I work on. So every now and then I call on some friends to put together some pretty, and that they did! Woodbourne Inn in the sweetest destination in Niagara on the Lake. Perfect for a bride to get… Read more »
When I met Kathryn she described herself as a little country and her groom, a lot city. When it came to floral design these two were on polar opposites of the spectrum. Loose, gardeny and natural versus traditional and elegant. My job as a florist was to meld the two looks. Rain may have prevented an outdoor ceremony but an indoor ceremony was sweetened by chandeliers dripping in roses and fluffy romantic ceremony arrangements. It is always so wonderful when… Read more »
Jessica and Jason chose the earthy, nestled in the fruit tree’s location of Kurt Orchards for their Niagara Wedding. It was a perfectly sunny August day for Jason and Jessica’s nuptials underneath the shade tree’s. Hanging balls of baby’s breath led her down the aisle to Jason and she clutched soft pastel shades of blush and peach. It was a dreamy elegant wedding in wine country. We adorned her harvest tables with layers of foliage runners and soft blush and… Read more »
