Ravine Vineyards wedding, winery wedding, Niagara wedding florist, Niagara florist, Lush Florals

Wedding dreams are made of long harvest tables, natural and cascading bouquets, wineries in the fall, mixed metallic containers and blush blooms. (At least mine are) Alexandra had me in love with her wedding from the moment she detailed her plans.  Her Ravine Vineyards Wedding was to be held in the Wine cellar at a long harvest table (sigh).  They were to be married beside the vineyard under a canopy with hanging roses (double sigh).  She would carry a cascading… Read more »

Meredith was a bride that from the very beginning was a complete dream.  She loved our work and booked us without even meeting.  Plans came together without a hitch and her wedding design was just breathtaking.  Then came the rain….alot of it. When planning an outdoor wedding you have to think that there is a small…minuscule possibility of rain.  All outdoor venues have a plan, we as florists have a plan as do the decorators.  Although Meredith’s dream ceremony did… Read more »

I cannot believe I am just posting this shoot.  It shows what a crazy year 2014……………and 2015 has been. A group of fabulously talented vendors came together to create a shoot to commemorate the Olympics in Russia, 2014.  It was the coldest day of the year, flowers froze and our model was the biggest trouper ever.  Would I change a thing? Nope! Here is our fabulous team: Photography: Joel Hannigan Photography Styling: Amanda Cowley Sweet Events Decor: Gala Decor Stationary:… Read more »

Kate Spade inspiration, Lush Florals, floral ring

A sweet little bridal shower shoot was planned with a handful of fabulous ladies.  Kate Spade seemed like a natural fit for this girly shower.  We used Bold bright flowers for the fun champagne filled Niagara party.  Where better to pop the vino than at Penninsula Ridge Winery.  One of my favorite elements of this shoot was the sweets table.  Sweet Celebrations created a funky eclair tower and cotton candy.  We provided a flower filled frame backdrop with paper accents… Read more »

For Our second look at the photoshoot I created a free-form coral and blush bouquet with accents of burgundy as well as a deep fuchsia and pale pink bouquet. Sometimes I just need to create, just for myself.  No models, major set-ups, contracts….just for me.  I wanted to try out a few new styles, have fun with flowers and have it captured perfectly.  I think my friend Daniel Ricci Wedding Photography helped me out with that.  He let the flowers sing in his images, which is all I can ask for.   Our first look was inspired by my latest obsession: Marsala.  (another fancy word for a shade of… Read more »

I have known Amy since she was barely able to walk.  We grew up together, our houses side by side.  Naturally I HAD to create Amy’s wedding flowers and they had to be perfect. Amy had a big fancy hall wedding planned and was sweating out the details when she just said forget it.  This couple is as relaxed and country as it gets, so somehow this big hall wedding just wasn’t going to work.  There needed to be more… Read more »

What a treat to work with these two.  Such a sweet couple and a groom who gave it his all during wedding set-up day of.  I just love it when the groom offers to help : ) The fantastic images by Zekar Photography show that rain on your wedding day can be beautiful, as well as arctic temperatures on a May day. (the flowers love it!) We created rustic yet romantic centerpieces of delphinium and curly willow alternated with low… Read more »
