Lush Florals, Niagara wedding florist, Niagara on the Lake wedding

An outdoor tented wedding in Niagara can be perfect even at the end of October.  It may have had something to do with a wedding in wine country and the perfect setting of Ravine Vineyards…..and heaters. Amanda dreamt of long harvest tables covered in groupings of bud vases and jelup cups for her winery wedding.  We combined soft tones of blush and white in all wedding flowers (as far as I am concerned there are no rules for colours and… Read more »

Niagara wedding florist, Niagara on the lake wedding, Lush Florals

Lately I have been feeling the need to flex my creativity muscle, do something a little different than the average wedding.  I am a lover of anything natural, textural and wild but I don’t always get to pull that into weddings I work on.  So every now and then I call on some friends to put together some pretty, and that they did! Woodbourne Inn in the sweetest destination in Niagara on the Lake.  Perfect for a bride to get… Read more »

Smitten Magazine feature, Lush Florals, Niagara wedding florist

There is something about this team of fabulous vendors I cannot move away from.  They bring out the best in my art, or perhaps capture it perfectly.  Last spring I was fortunate enough to collaborate on this stunning shoot that was just recently featured in Smitten Magazine Vol. 13. Destiny (Destiny Dawn Photography) and Mike (The Barefoot Stylist) summarized the story of this shoot perfectly: “In this fleeting moment of serendipity, two lovers embrace in a sphere of rich florals… Read more »

Lush Florals, Niagara wedding florist, pillar and post wedding, notl wedding

When I met Kathryn she described herself as a little country and her groom, a lot city.  When it came to floral design these two were on polar opposites of the spectrum.  Loose, gardeny and natural versus traditional and elegant.  My job as a florist was to meld the two looks. Rain may have prevented an outdoor ceremony but an indoor ceremony was sweetened by chandeliers dripping in roses and fluffy romantic ceremony arrangements.  It is always so wonderful when… Read more »

Lush Florals, Niagara wedding florist, John Michaels wedding

To say it was cold on Valentines day 2015 would be an understatement.  I believe we hit -30 with the wind chill.  Do flowers like -30?  not so much.  With a lot of wrapping and protecting these precious flowers we made it to John Michaels and helped to create a stunning and romantic wedding.  Of course our friends Gala Decor added the lovely layers of linens and decor that sets this wedding apart.  The fabulous stationery for the day was… Read more »

Lush Florals, Niagara wedding florist, Kurtz Orchards wedding

Jessica and Jason chose the earthy, nestled in the fruit tree’s location of Kurt Orchards for their Niagara Wedding.  It was a perfectly sunny August day for Jason and Jessica’s nuptials underneath the shade tree’s.  Hanging balls of baby’s breath led her down the aisle to Jason and she clutched soft pastel shades of blush and peach.  It was a dreamy elegant wedding in wine country. We adorned her harvest tables with layers of foliage runners and soft blush and… Read more »

Vintage Hotels Wedding, Lush Florals, Niagara wedding florist

Last Spring we exhibited at the Vintage Hotels Wedding Show.  Along with our friends Gala Decor, Liquid Entertainment, Defining Moments Stationery, Candy By Katie and The Warehouse we transformed the Royal Cambridge at Prince of Whales.  We worked with a watercolour theme bringing it into the stationary, the candy table and the varying shades of the centerpieces.  It was so much fun to take this idea and run with it in a neutral space. These gorgeous images of our work… Read more »

Crisp cool air, cinnamon coloured grape vines, the last few fall leaves drifting to the ground. Late November is absolutely gorgeous in wine country, and Anna’s wedding proved just that.   When I think back to the planning of Anna and Ricardo’s wedding I most distinctly remember her father.  A plant aficionado and greenhouse grower who really kept me on my toes about cut flower availability and blooming times.  Sometimes moments like that make me thankful for my horticulture years… Read more »

Lush Florals, Niagara on the lake wedding, Niagara wedding florist

Julie and Paul had a peach and blush masterpiece of a wedding set in amongst the vines at Southbrook Vineyards.  An arbor draped in eucalyptus greeted the couple after a walk down the aisle which was lined in hanging blooms.  The dreamy tent was draped in flowing fabric and long rows of undulating flowers on wooden runners finished the breathtaking reception. Christine Lim’s pictures speak of the dreamy atmosphere and the loving couple.  Thank you for allowing us a glimpse of… Read more »

Brimstone Brewery wedding, The Sanctuary wedding, Fort Erie wedding, Blush and white white wedding, Lush Florals

Can you tell blush was the colour of 2015 for us?  THIS is how you do blush!  soft foliage, many textural blooms and accented with gold. (I am in love). Kayse and Steve were married at the sweetest little church (Holloway Bay Memorial) out by Point Abino in Ridgeway.  They even were able to take pictures by the iconic lighthouse.    Their reception was held at The Sanctuary which also houses Brimstone Brewery.  It is a great location for a… Read more »
