I have known Amy since she was barely able to walk.  We grew up together, our houses side by side.  Naturally I HAD to create Amy’s wedding flowers and they had to be perfect. Amy had a big fancy hall wedding planned and was sweating out the details when she just said forget it.  This couple is as relaxed and country as it gets, so somehow this big hall wedding just wasn’t going to work.  There needed to be more… Read more »

What a treat to work with these two.  Such a sweet couple and a groom who gave it his all during wedding set-up day of.  I just love it when the groom offers to help : ) The fantastic images by Zekar Photography show that rain on your wedding day can be beautiful, as well as arctic temperatures on a May day. (the flowers love it!) We created rustic yet romantic centerpieces of delphinium and curly willow alternated with low… Read more »

A European sunset inspired the colour pallette for this lovely September wedding.  We blended shades of peach, blush and even some red into the centerpieces to portray the sun’s last glint of the day.  Layers of ranunculus, dahlia, garden roses and spray roses perfected the bride’s soft rounded bouquet. We were very excited to use our new “like real” pillar candles to line the aisle at the church.  So real in fact that the groom thought I had used real… Read more »

I get a lot of emails and inquiries from out of town brides.  Many are concerned that they cannot meet me and often wonder…can we do this over the phone and through emails?  Absolutely!  Jenny and I planned her bold purple blooms over the phone from Vancouver!  It all came together perfectly…no face to face needed.  Jenny was getting married at Cave Springs Vineyard with her ceremony at Inn on the Twenty.  I know this also made planning easier as… Read more »

A gorgeous outdoor ceremony at a farm, an amazing feast set amongst the fruit tree’s, celebrating under the twinkling stars….what more could you ask for?  This rustic blush and peach wedding was picture perfect especially when captured by Elizabeth in Love. My favorite had to be the long harvest table set in the orchard.  We used our wood runners down the table that were layered with bud vases and mason jars full of soft blooms such as baby’s breath, stock,… Read more »

Aleksandra and Nick wanted their day to reflect their very relaxed nature.  Not too frilly, not overly traditional with just slight touches of interesting detail.  For flowers Aleksandra wanted a large garden inspired bridal bouquet in neutral shades but for the gals… a bold pop of colour-shades of Marsala with gold sequined accents.  The church service was Ukrainian Catholic and simply breathtaking.  The reception was held at Chateau De Charmes winery.  I love everything about these images from JF Hannigan Photography, filled… Read more »

Allison is a long time friend of my husband Roger.  I knew when these two got engaged, I was going to be lucky enough to create their wedding flowers.  Allison is a girl after my own heart and chose bold yellow blooms mixed with succulents. They had a beautiful sunny August wedding in Cave Springs Vineyards followed by a reception at Inn on the Twenty.  Simple hydrangea hanging arrangements adorned the aisles and were then transferred to her tables afterwards. … Read more »

This year we were lucky enough to have Eva Derrick capture our Niagara Wedding Studio Booth.  Gala Decor, Liquid Entertainment and Dynasty Limousine along with Lush created a gorgeous display.  We mixed soft blush and peach which are so popular this year with bold marsala.  I am a huge fan of adding a pop of colour to a peach and blush colour scheme, what do you think? We also had a great deal of help from our fabulous friends Defining… Read more »

Every consultation I have I ask the bride what her favorite bloom for her wedding would be.  The most common flower is obviously a peony.  Who wouldn’t love these gorgeous large layers of soft fluffy petals?  The downside to this love affair is the short time frame of availability (Late May-June locally).  Karina and Kostya just squeaked into the last few weeks of availability for these beauties.  More shocking is that they were coral!!  FYI for all my late June… Read more »
