| What can I say about doing the wedding flowers for one of the closest people to your heart? It's stressful! But that's because I wanted everything to be absolutely perfect for my sister Valery and her amazing husband Joel. These two chose a cottage in our home town for their nuptials, which Val had admired for years with it's large wraparound porches and plantation like charm. Val wanted to work with a large colour spectrum in her flowers starting with white and graduating to orange, Along with all of the colours in between, such depth was created in her bouquets.
We worked with a few of my favorites on this wedding including brain celosia, caramel antique garden roses, pin cushion protea and kangaroo paw. They were joined by the classic dahlia, hydrangea, lilies and even a few carnations. One of my favorite elements to the wedding was the ceremony site. The couples favorite quotes about love were strung over the seated guests. Along with all of the other amazing DIY elements and personal touches this wedding was such a refelction of the couple, it was a pleasure to be a part of it Thanks to Boyfriend Girlfriend photography for all of the great images. |
